Privacy notice
Last updated 14 October 2026
This notice explains what personal data WeCookDeals ("we") handles, why, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: [email protected].
Our website
We don't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website, our hosting and network providers process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect against abuse. These logs are kept for a short time and used only for that purpose.
Review pages
When you use a review page for a business, what you tap and type stays in your browser. We don't store your review text, and it only goes to Google if you post it yourself. If you use voice input, your browser's own speech service (for example Google or Apple) turns your speech into text under that provider's privacy terms.
Emails to businesses
We contact local businesses about our service. To do that we use business contact details that the business has published itself, such as on its website or its Google Business Profile: the business name, a contact email address, the services and areas listed, and public review information.
- Why: to offer our service to businesses it is relevant to. Our legal basis is legitimate interests.
- What we keep: those business details and our email correspondence with you.
- How long: until you ask us to stop, or 12 months after our last contact if we don't end up working together.
- Opting out: reply "no" to any of our emails or write to [email protected]. We will not contact you again and will delete your details, keeping only what's needed to make sure we don't email you again.
Who else handles data
We use a small number of service providers: Brevo (sending email), Google (our mailbox), Cloudflare (website delivery and security) and our server host in Germany. They process data only to provide their service to us. We never sell personal data.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it. Email [email protected] and we'll reply within one month. If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (priv.gc.ca).
